Too many politicians isolate themselves.
They cut themselves off from their constituents. They hold press conferences and take no questions. They hold town-hall meetings and screen the comments.
They're out of touch with the people they serve.
This will change.
If you call (or email) me or my office, you'll get a response. A personal response, not a canned one. Not a form letter that blindly says, "I'm grateful for your correspondence blah blah blah."
And, at least once a month, I'll set up town-hall meetings (not just during the election season) in the district to listen. To engage. To give you access to your government.
Think about this: In a republic, the representatives serve the people, not the other way around. The people are in charge. This isn't rocket science.
